Charlie's Place

Charlie’s Place volunteers help serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness in the Dupont Circle Community with nutritious meals, case management, health care, clothing, a lending library, and so much more. This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, lend your skillset, and connect with other social justice–minded friends. Whether you are interested in volunteering one time, once a month, or every week, we have a volunteer opportunity that is right for you! We need volunteers for our Thanksgiving Dinner on November 19, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Use the link below to volunteer for this or any other shift.

Volunteer in Our Worship Life

The richness of our worship together depends upon all of us playing a role, as called and as possible. We have serving opportunities for every personality, skill set, season, and schedule. No matter your age and stage of life, you bring something special to our church family. Volunteers may serve by welcoming visitors, tending the altar, reading during the service, supporting the clergy, or working on our tech team. If you are looking for ways to connect with parish members and share your gifts with the community, we welcome your service!

Charlie’s Place Clothing Closet

The Charlie’s Place Clothing Closet provides essential gear for members of our community who are sleeping rough or who are low income. To prepare the clothes for distribution, we need volunteers to sort through the bags of donations into key categories and sizes for our staff. This is a great opportunity to serve if you prefer a quiet role, on a weekday, that will greatly benefit Charlie’s Place guests and staff. Sign up

Time commitment: Flexible hours on weekdays
