Braver Angels: Politics, Faith, and the Election

September 21 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

In just under 60 days, we vote in local and national elections. For many, our country has never felt more divided; nor has so much seemed at stake. Yet, we must ask where God is in this political landscape. The two-hour Braver Angles workshop is for Christians who are concerned about our angry and hostile political climate and for those who would like guidance on how to respond. During the workshop, we will discuss Biblical teachings relevant to civil polarization and explore ways to apply those teachings. The emphasis of our time together is on elevating our faith above politics so that we approach the problem of division as Christians and not as supporters of a particular partisan perspective. It was very popular when given last January, so please register early.

The workshop is sponsored by Braver Angels, a non-partisan national organization focused on helping to bridge the political divide in our country. Please bring a bag-lunch so we can gather together before the session begins at 1:00 p.m., in the Parish Hall.

More information about Braver Angels can be found here. Email the Rev. Diana Gustafson with questions. Register here.
