Advent Retreat 2025: Emmanuel: God With Us in Prayer & Community

We invite you to St. Margaret’s for our annual Advent retreat weekend. As Advent begins, many of us carry the weight of the world. Yet even now, “a weary world rejoices” in anticipation of the birth of our Savior. This retreat offers space to breathe, to be still, and to remember that God is always with us — in our longing, our hope, and our prayer.

In-Person Retreat:
📅 Friday, December 12 | 5:00–9:00 p.m.
📅 Saturday, December 13 | 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
📍 St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church

The weekend retreat will include dinner and evening fellowship on Friday, followed by breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and daytime sessions of group reflection, prayer, and quiet on Saturday, concluding by 5:00 p.m. 

Building on this cherished in-person gathering, we’re deepening the experience this year by offering an optional weeklong Retreat in Daily Life leading up to the weekend. Participants will receive daily prayer prompts to guide personal prayer throughout the week.

An optional orientation for the weeklong retreat will be held

Those who wish may also meet virtually or in-person with a spiritual director (Richard Weinberg or Ron Lorentzen) for one-on-one conversation and guidance about their prayer experience in the week leading up to the in-person retreat.

Whether you choose to pray at home during the week, join the weekend retreat, or both, all are welcome to enter this sacred time of Advent waiting together.
