DESCRIPTION:This two-hour learning activity is for Christians who are concerned about the increasingly angry and hostile political climate they see around them and who would like guidance on how to respond. During the workshop\, we will discuss how Biblical teachings are relevant to toxic political polarization and explore ways to apply those teachings to a variety of situations.  Overall\, the emphasis of our time together is on elevating our faith above politics so that we approach the problem of polarization as Christians and not as supporters of a particular political perspective. The workshop is sponsored by Braver Angels\, a non-partisan national organization focused on helping to bridge the political divide in our country. DESCRIPTION:We will be having “breakfast for dinner” with traditional (but gluten free) pancakes\, breakfast meats\, and other accompaniments as we use up fats\, eggs\, and dairy before the arrival of Lent.  This is planned as a “low barrier” event.  You can come from work\, come from home\, come for only part of the time\, and/or bring your friends as well as family. You are not expected to bring anything (unless you can’t stand coming empty handed). All are welcome.
