SUMMARY:Advent Retreat: Discerning the Will of God
DESCRIPTION:Drawing from the timeless wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola\, St. Margaret’s Rector\, the Rev. Richard Weinberg\, leads an Advent retreat to guide participants in how to make spiritual sense of decisions in life–from daily commitments to major choices like vocation\, retirement\, or marriage. On December 9-10\, join us (in person only) for a Friday night and Saturday morning/afternoon retreat at the beautiful home of Vestry member Linda Heaney\, where we will build relationships\, pray together\, read Scripture from the new Women’s Lectionary\, and learn tools for prayer and spiritual discernment passed down by the founder of the Jesuits. \nParticipation is limited to 25 parishioners. Registration is open through Sunday\, December 4\, or until we reach capacity. The cost of participation is $95 per individual\, covering hand-outs and four meals/snacks. DESCRIPTION:Bring your furry\, scaly\, four-legged\, or winged family members to worship for the blessing of the animals in honor of the annual Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Special prayers in thanksgiving for the beauty of creation and a group blessing upon your pets will take place during our regular service of Holy Eucharist this day. Plan to bring your pet to church or put your pet “on camera” if you’re joining us online\, and introduce your animals to one another informally during our fellowship after the service as well. \nThe service will be streamed on our website\, our YouTube channel\, and on Zoom. \n  \n
