Hospitality

The ministry of hospitality at St. Margaret's is one of central importance. We are committed to creating a welcoming community with a generous sense of fellowship. Each Sunday we gather in the fellowship hall following both the 9:00 AM and 11:15 AM services to share in conversation and coffee with light snacks. Throughout the year we gather together to share meals, have laughs and simply derive from one another the strength and comfort that comes from being among friends who care for one another. If you are a visitor, "welcome!" If you are a member, call Del and offer to support your ministries of hospitality!

Coffee Hour

  • descriptiondescription
One aspect of our hospitality at St. Margaret's is our weekly "Coffee Hour" in the fellowship hall. Both at 10:15 and 12:30 after each of our weekly services, snacks and light refreshments are offered to those who've attended the services. And more than a small repast, coffee hour is a chance for members of the parish to chat and get to know one another in a more personal way. While friends catch up on the week's happenings, new members and visitors connect with old timers in the parish and begin the process of building strong and lasting relationships in Christ. If you would like to assist in this most valuable ministry, please let Nancy know.

Parish Potluck Groups

St. Margaret's recognizes that we are a growing and diverse community. It is easy and regrettable to feel disconnected from others. For those who wish to simply meet and know other members in a more personal and casual way, the ministry of Potluck Fellowship Suppers may be the answer. Longtime members who want to develop a closer relationship with others at St. Margaret's will find this an excellent opportunity, too. Interested parishioners are placed in groups that choose a regular time each month to meet to share food and fellowship. Group members rotate their homes as meeting sites whenever possible, and each participant brings a dish to share, often around a specific theme, cuisine, or occasion. If you would like to join such a group to better acquaint yourself with other members of the parish, please contact Carlin to get involved.
