Rector Susan N. Blue
Susan Blue, our
rector, was ordained in 1986. She came to St. Margaret's from New Jersey
where she was rector of Trinity, Matawan and assistant at St. Luke's,
Metuchen. She attended Duke University and graduated from New York
University. She received a Masters of Divinity from The General Theological
Seminary in New York City and Masters of Theology in Pastoral Care and
Counseling from New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey. Prior to
her ordination she taught elementary school and served as a management
consultant. Susan has two sons who live in Denver, one of whom is married and
has two young sons. Susan is active in Diocesan activities, serving on the
Diocesan Council and as an alternate deputy to the General Convention. In
addition, she serves as adjunct faculty at the College of Preachers and at
Virginia Theological Seminary. She was recently appointed to the Human Rights
Commission of the District of Columbia. She is currently serving on the
Associate Alumni/ae Board of The General Theological Seminary.
